Is Astrology God's Personality Assessment?

We have all heard of Astrology but what is it really?

Some think it is a basic horoscope column, others think its divination, yet over the centuries it has withstood the test of time and its core foundations are still being used today - 4000 years later. I like to think of astrology as an ancient language of energy, Each symbol is like an alphabet letter - yet so much more complex than an "A" meaning "A". Each astrology symbol represents numerous meanings and various aspects, transits, or location of House can cause that meaning to be filtered through a different lens. 

So who could have created something so detailed, so accurate, and so meaningful? Only our Creator. Many pages in the Bible speak of the constellations and the stars. Some even referencing to look in the heavens for my messages. Could that mean that God created astrology to be His way of sending us messages through the cycles of the Moon phases, Planets and our Earth? The Bible isn't clear about using astrology but many scholars say that the people who wrote the Bible had no problem with receiving the messages from the heavens. They just didn't want it to be worshipped over God, Jesus or the Temples. Many would be surprised to discover that in 1932 a Temple in Israel was uncovered and found to have a giant mosaic mural of the zodiac right on the floor of the Temple itself.

What about the Star of Bethlehem? The Bible mentions that "The 3 Wise Men followed the North Star" And in the footnotes it says, "also known as Astrologers." If God was indeed sending us a message that His Son was being born then lets look at what the planets and stars were saying during that time. There have been many studies on when Jesus' actual birth date was. It was determined that the bright Star of Bethlehem was most likely the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn and this had occurred in the year 7 BCE. Jupiter and Saturn can be seen with the naked eye on a clear night if they are transiting the sky in your area of the Earth. So imagine what they would have looked like if they were close together in the skies. They would have looked extra bright! 

Then Astrologers noticed that on August 22, in the year 7 BCE there was a VERY RARE alignment. On this day each planet was located in its own home sign. For those that do not know much about astrology this is very rare, and very special. Many say that someone who would have been born on such a day would most certainly make a large impact on the world. And Jesus did just that. This rare alignment has not happened since then.

In a natal birth chart each placement of where the constellations, or signs, lie in the sky help make up the energies that effect you from the minute you take your first breath. Likewise each planet location also creates a vibrational energy beaming down at you. So on that very rare, very special day that Jesus was born the planets were in their "home signs". The purest most powerful form of energy for ALL of the signs and planets was vibrationally pulsing energies to the Earth. Perhaps they were describing the leader and savior that Jesus would one day become. 

Every month the Sun travels through each constellation, and every few days the Moon travels through each constellation. Each planet travels at its own speeds so the chances for them all to be at home in their home signs at the same time is a grand event! Could this mean that God was indeed sending us a message from the heavens? The 3 Wise Men knew and followed those messages in the sky. 

Many of us who have chosen the self development path have taken a personality assessment at some point in our lives. Many times a new employer will ask you to take the DISC Profile Assessment or the Meyers Briggs Assessment. Both of these personality reports provide an overview, and a peek into that person's communication and personality tendencies. It saves employers time from hiring the wrong fit person. It also helps employers see where an employee may have strengths or weaknesses.

What if Astrology is Gods Personality Assessment but also includes an assessment of our soul? We can see that the personality of Jesus was baked into his chart and perhaps he was every bit of the double energies presented to him. We are all born with energies showering down upon us when we are born. And for over 4000 years Astrologers, Scientists, Philosophers, and Religious Leaders have all left us clues that Astrology has merit. It has truth. It truly is a language of energy vibrations and we have the free will to experience them in a positive or negative way. Its up to us! The main difference between Astrology and other personality assessments, is we also can assess our soul's personality. I call it "Soul Work".
